The Sound of Romance...

The long trinnnnggg and the rush to pick up the phone before anyone else picks it up, the cheer when it was her, and the disappointment when it was for dad...

The not knowing when she will call again, and the not knowing who will pick if I called...

The blank Calls and the smiles that followed... the short calls the empty it left...

I miss the Sound of Romance !

p.s. Apologies if you follow my flickr page and the other blog, because this is what you might have seen there too...

  5. I miss those days too!! Sadly, they will never come back. Cos I know that when the phone rings, it will be for me since I live alone. Cos I know when the phone rings, I will know who it is because of caller id on cellphones. Cos I know when he will call again because I might just be living with him, who knows!?

thanks this got a big smile of my rather irritated mood...sigh those days will never be again...and as someone said..there is no that sweet fear these days..cause i know no one else will pick up the phone, cause i know whoses calling, cause i just know .... the finer touches of sweet romance is soo lost these days !! Somtimes i blame it on technology and sometimes change in us also..

nevertless a lovely sweet post..how i wish we could fav post like we fav pics on flickr..:)

  14. it is interesting you say this. as my flight just landed at Bombay, people rushed to switch on their mobile phones - with that annoying 'start up' noise - and I was telling my colleague - these are the sounds of our times!

  15. I hate that part of landings :(
