MiRrOr TeST....

A lot of us claim that we are able to accept our friends the way they are, we are able to appreciate their good habits, ignore the bad ones or suggest improvements and still be content with the friendship...

And now the real world...

How many of us really live up to that claim?

Do I ?

Lets stop calling our "mistakes" mistakes.... Lets start referring to them as "Improvement Opportunities"...

ThE GaMe : wHiCh MeAns!!!

How many times in a day do you play this?
Many times?
Sometimes?
Never did?
Have seen people do it?

Anyway, we, in the layman terms, call this game “Let’s jump to a conclusion

Rules of this game:
  • Whenever the person in front of you says something, you hear the complete sentence patiently
  • Once the speaking is over, you think in your mind “which means
  • And then Jump “to a conclusion”
  • Now either stick to the thought that you have reached or
  • Ask the other person about the truth and ruin the entire game…

Here are a few examples…

Rakesh: I am not really feeling like doing anything today…
Rampal: “which means” that you are feeling bad about something?
Rakesh: No buddy, there is nothing specific…
Rampal: “which means” you do not want to tell me OR “which means” you do not consider me a good friend of yours anymore” or “which means” that you are doing something that I should not know about “which means” I have to know about it someway or the other “which means” that I got to make some effort to investigate everything…

Nidhi: Rahul dumped me today
Nisha: “which means” he is available now | “which means” I can ask him out |
which means” nidhi must’ve been a bitch to him | “which means” Rahul is such a bastard | “Which means” they did not have a good sex life | “which means” I have to dump Rakesh if I want to ask Rahul out and more “which means” and more “which means”…

Mom: How is life in the office these days? Do you feel good working?
Son: “which means” she is thinking of getting me married | “which means” she has already thought of getting me married to Sharma’s auntie’s geeky daughter | “which means” my life is ruined

And I do not even remember how many other innings of the game I remember…

Which means” I have bad memory? Eh!!! :D

But then on a serious note, I do not really support this game... But for some reason I see most of us around are a part of the fan following for this game…

What about you?

Of 10 ft HiGh WaVeS & A HuGe BaTh TuB…

The plan almost got canceled, I was not sure if I wanted to take a chance with the weather…But then it did not get as cold as it usually gets in November… I, however, kept preparing myself by not using warm water to take a bath… Kept using cold water and infact enjoying it, to condition myself to the cold in Rishikesh ?

The evening finally came and I got the tank filled to the brim for the long drive ahead… Deepak reached home… we had food and then surrendered to sleep around 0030 hrs, Saturday… not before we gave the women a strong challenge in talking about everything and anything under the sun… The funny thing is that I had said no to a movie Friday night because I wanted to sleep early looking at the long day on Saturday… but then.. Men will be Men…

Saturday started pretty early… around 0300 hrs… with a few phone calls, packing ( yes yes I am a last minute packing person)… picked up Tushar from near his place and reached the Radisson, NOIDA where we were to meet the rest of the Gang from Aseem’s company… Aseem was delayed by 10 minutes, but we were still not late… He had his share of drive in the morning… Faridabad to Gurgaon to NOIDA… I think we can call it another “Golden Triangle”… What say?

Anyway, a total of 11 people, in two different cars left NOIDA Radisson around 0445 hours. For some reason, this Qualis was SLOW… though it left like 10 minutes before yes, and because we had to turn back to get Aseem’s jacket we took another 10 minutes… I managed to cover these 20 minutes and add atleast 45 another minutes to my advantage on the entire route with two breaks… I like it & Radha ROCKs…

After Meerut, thick fog welcomed us, and I was forced to drive very very slow for a long time… it was only after Muzaffarnagar Bypass that I could pick up some speed… Oh and two things worth mentioning here…

1) Anjie spent a good 15 minutes in the bathroom in the morning… When asked, she told us that she had done everything possible in the bathroom :D Please ask Anjie for a reason why this information from her is so important :D
2) I remembered Aseem where he had Pee’ed away his 6600 to glory… this is the railway crossing on the Bypass !!! And the incident happened on one of our rafting trips only !!!

A quick pee break near Khatauli, a tea break after Muzaffarnagar… no traffic jams… thick fog… ensured that we were in Rishikesh around 0900 hrs… in a li’il over 4 hours…

What followed was some chitchat… and a lot of wait!!! Aseem and party come around 0945 hrs… some of them were not adequately dressed for rafting , but were enthusiastic enough which more then made up for the rest of the things…

Next I had to wait for Anand and his two friends; meanwhile we changed our clothes, called Pradeep (our rafting guy), roamed around, and had breakfast…

Around 1130 hrs, we finally left for Shivpuri… The water was cold, but the weather great !!! And finally we started… and here is what happened:

  • The best rapids in the last 3 years that I have faced…
  • Roller Coster was the best !!! I was in the front left and I tried my hell best to row through the damn rapid but then the force of nature is something that leaves you nowhere !!!
  • I was in the front of the raft not rowing for two rapids and atleast 1000 litres of water hit me in both these rapids on my face… This is when Tushar also got slapped big time by water :D
  • AWESOME fun it was…
  • One of rafts in front of us flipped in Roller Coster…
  • I did not get out of the raft for swimming this time, however picked people up from the water and got them back to the raft…
  • Angie tried to jump from the cliff, and was really really brave to climb up, but she could not gather enough courage to jump from there… But she more then made up for it by being one of the best rowers on the raft… Kudos to her for the kinda effort she made…
  • Some of the best pictures on the lunch break… We did not notice but the four of us were dressed in primary colours… ->Angie – Blue ->Deepak – Green ->Tushar – Yellow ->Me – Red ( as usual)
  • Surprisingly the water was not that cold this time… and it was the cleanest in all the trips I have made so far…

Got off the raft and decided to retire in a hotel near the Parmarth Ashram… The Raj Palace is where we stayed… Good rooms they were… once in the rooms we did not really feel like getting out checking anything else Conversations followed… And then dinner… very very nice Italian Restaurant…

Anjie was the first one to sleep, followed by the rest of us.. And was the first one to get up on Sunday…
And here is what she managed to do that Sunday morning:
~ Bug all the three guys…
~ Make unsuccessful attempts to wake all three of us up…
~ Roam around Rishikesh and sit next to the Ganges for an hour before coming back to the hotel and try to wake all of us up…
~ Take a bath early morning before 0700 hrs… Phew!!!

We finally got up… and then pondered over the idea of trekking to a waterfall… and because Tushar and Angie pushed the idea with a lot of force, Me and Deepak agreed!!!

And AM I HAPPY OR WHAT!!!

We had breakfast at Chotiwala, and then moved to NeelKuddu, from where our trek was to start…

We walked for about 35 minutes on a way which was steeper then most of the treks I have done… and then reached a place which was amazing… a nice clean waterfall, which a made up hugggggggggggge bath tub… and Angie again was the first one to enter the water… Tushar followed and then me and Deepak… we spent a good hour and a half in the water playing around... clicking pictures taking videos… and some of the pics are worth sharing… the rest I rather keep it for public viewing… :D we managed to dry ourselves in about 30 minutes, walk back to the car, and then drive back to Delhi…

Two pit stops…
One @ Haridwar to get Ganga Jal
Second @ Roorkee, which included some fantastic Lassi and Chole Chaat…

A long drive with music followed… the music genre shifted from Rock to Hindi Happy to Retro !!! and that kept the tempo up !!!

Dropped Deepak @ 2130 hrs at the Welcome Metro Station
Had a quick bite in Dilshaad Garden with Anjie, met Rohit, talked for a while, and then rushed to NOIDA to quickly grab a bite again with Tushar… Thankfully, the sector-25 Rolls-wala was still open and we could eat…

Finally reached home around 2300 hrs and surrendered to sleep…

I am sure I was smiling all night with the happiness I brought with me…

The pictures from the trip can be checked out HERE.

PhYSiCaL - EmOTiOnaL Or NoT

Excerpts from my conversation with Bindiya yesterday evening....

Bindiya
: ya right!
so wat will ur next blog will be on..?
what r u planning to blog on?
me: umm..
I wanted to write about how I like women... and why I can be physical without getting too emotional about it..
par I did not get enough words to write...
Bindiya: but u can actually get physical without being emotional with a person?
me: without getting too emotional is what I said...
I do not treat sex as a big deal....
not that I can get physical with anyone.. but I think it’s an overrated topic
Bindiya: okay.....thtz fine but does tht mean u treat it too casually??
me: no
I understand the importance of getting physical in people's life... and give it due respect..
but if expected to treat being physical as some kind of commitment is something that I cannot do...
Bindiya: yeah I understand tht - but then I think u get physical with people with you are committed too and not everyone. atleast I wud.
as for commitment. a commitment is a commitment.
me: we think differently
Bindiya: spiritual, emotional, physical - are all aspects of it.
me: true..
Bindiya: but I think one needs to be committed to experience each of these.
me: in agreement with your thoughts.. but I think differently
:)
Bindiya: ya to each his own....but I didn’t quiet get ur stand.
explain again...
me: which is fine... you do not have to understand everything that I say na...
or agree to them
Bindiya: but I want to understand wat I can..
me: fair enough..
Bindiya: agreeing with it or disagreeing is another matter.
me: dekho... while I understand that emotions lead to physical contact...
the visa versa is not correct...
Bindiya: hmmm...
sahi hain!
me: I might like someone physically without any emotions...
Bindiya: possible..
yep.
me: infact that’s what the looks matter thingie is all about
Bindiya
: agree..
me: you check the physical aspect of a person..
so all I am saying is that to be involved physically with someone, I do not need to be emotionally dependent on the person...
it’s not as casual as having coffee together..
Bindiya: almost..
me: but I do not take it too seriously to influence life either..
stuff like I have to be committed, and only then we will kiss is something that I just do not understand...
Bindiya: yeah.. right! many people dont.
me: there are physical needs of a person as well...
and there can be times when they are more important then the emotional ones
I do not have any emotional needs... personally I do not need any emotional support from any one person...
Bindiya: so to fulfill them in the absence of a relationship one can explore them in a non-committal basis is wat u r saying. ok!
me: right
Bindiya: yeah we have different thoughts on this. but ya right I understood ur take on it.
me: cewl...
Bindiya: but tell me, even in case of wat ur saying - doesn’t one require a minimum level of comfort zone with the person with whom s/he is trying to get intimate with??
me: totally
without comfort you cannot even hold a finger.. forget about a kiss !!!
Bindiya: it can’t just be anybody 'n everybody!
me: I do not even look at women I do not think I can talk to..
Bindiya: but wat u wrote sounded more like a desperate attempt to meet physical needs.
me: if I can talk, then I can kiss...
if I cannot talk.. let the chick go to hell, even if she is a bomb
Bindiya: if thtz the case, then there sure is a relation which is the basis of the intimacy..
me: there is...
it does not necessarily translate into emotional dependency na..
or does not mean you become a couple..
Bindiya: nothing does, 'n then everything is.
dont u think?
intimacy with a person be it physical or emotional or mental brings in a level of dependency - not negative. but it does!
instead of 'dependency' - lets use the phrase support or 'looking up to' someone..
me: hmm....
agree here...
par a kiss, does not mean you gotta be in an affair..
Bindiya: absolutely..
but in somkinda relation..
:)
me: and I know women who want to be kissed and make out.. but the condition is that you commit to being in a relationship
desperation to control hoti nai hai... lekin pehle relationship chahiye..
Bindiya: a relationship cannot be conditional.
hehehe...u r crude!
me: will agree to this too...
yes, I am..
mujhe sugarcoat nai hote words...
jo hai so hai
Bindiya: make it - very crude :P
me: :D
the unfortunate truth is that most of the relationships are conditional
it’s a give and take situation..
and that is why most of them do not work out..
guy get into it thinking they like the chick... and will get physical satisfaction out of it...
And gals get into it thinking they like the hunk and will get emotional satisfaction out of it...
Thode time baad satisfaction levels mein hota hai clash...
And u-turn
This might be too wide a generalization; however I have seen this happening...
Bindiya: par hero jo tum kah rahe ho - uska nichod mujhe yeh lagta hain ki physics, chemistry maths r all momentary needs with people whom we have a link with. sometimes they graduate to a relationship, sometimes they don’t...
me: sahi bola toone ladki
samajhdaar hai tu
Bindiya: but in case of existing relationships/affairs, divergent physical emotional needs lead to fights and separation

may be continued...

A KiD i WaS !!! a KiD i Am...

When was the last time you felt like a kid… all excited, happy, jumping with joy, shouting with excitement, not really caring for what the world thinks about you, and not really aware of what is happening outside your own world?

Do you remember?

If someone had asked me this question before last Saturday, I would not have an answer... but today I have an answer... I was a kid this Saturday… 4th of November’2006… here is what happened…

I missed out on the Photography meet in the morning… no camera, myself needed at home, work to be done… multiple issues kept me away… and Pinks aka Priyanka suggested that we should not miss the last function in the “Phool Walon Ki Sair”… it made a lot of sense… I mean so many years in Delhi and I have not even been a witness to Delhi’s one of the best functions… bad bad…

I thought it was just perfect… I missed out on the morning show… lets check out the evening then… picked up Anjali badi Manjali aka Booboo Singh from Noida more around 1630 hours and rushed to Qutub Minar… Pinks and Deepsie were already in the Qutub taking pictures…A quick round of helloes… and Anjie’s and Priyanka’s introduction to each other… My introduction to the D70S Priyanka was carrying… and we were ON!!! Pictures, talking, fun, laughter… and trust me this was just the beginning of an evening I will remember for a long time!!!

We moved out of the Qutub in a while and then asked our way to the JahazMahal, Mehrauli… where the main function was supposed to be… decided to leave my car behind and take only one car to the function… finding our way was not too difficult… When we reached there the function had not begun and people were still settling down… we did not have any passes which meant that we could not get inside the audience area… which inturn meant that we were to stand on the other side of the road and enjoy the proceedings… which we did… and to keep us company were Gupta Caterers from Chandni Chawk… YES!!! Food from the walled city… Chaat, Golgappe, Tikki, Kulfi... yes ISHTIK Kulfi and mango Kulfi... with that some pictures… some laughter… some good moments in the camera…

We then decided to move from there, and go to a local MELA… Priyanka was already kinda scared of the fact that she was supposed to sit on the Giant Wheel, and I was super happy to know that she was scared… its fun to be with someone who is scared of Rides in a park :D We were quick to take the tickets and force the chick to take a seat… and her reactions, the screams, the expressions were more then a picture or a camera or any words can describe… totall funnn!!!!

Next was a ride which was kinda strange… it was a big platform which would rotate and then had smaller seats for two in 4 which would rotate freely other then the platform… I cannot even tell you how interesting and exciting this was... Deepak almost got killed because of Anjie baby sitting next to him: D and we screamed out lungs out in this ride!!! When it finished, I had a headache and a stomach ache and a throat ache thanks to the spinning, and the screaming… but it was FUNN too!!!

Our next ride was the Columbus!!! Bigger then the biggest I had sat on… and the rest of the three now totally in the mood wanted to sit on the extreme end seats… which they did… and it was funnnnnnnnn again… laughter, screams, hair flowing around… it was fun to see how Priyanka’s long hair would all go at the back when we were going down on that ship… and how they covered her face otherwise…

We saw this Maut Ka Kuan… the Well of Death where there were Ladies in Men: D and then we saw these chicks dancing on a stage… all of them doing a different dance step and trying to be sexy… trust me TRYING to be sexy!!!

Also there was a magic show!!! And then the two girls tried their hands on shooting the balloons… I am not very sure they were able to aim right or not… but then looking at all the guys around them trying to see how they perform with shooting was great… looks like that these two were the only hott chicks in the entire fair area !!! And we two hunks were lucky to be with them: D

And then we went to this photo studio… it was kinda sad to find out that these guys did not have a car and an airplane where we could click a fotu!!! But then they allowed to get inside the studio and click some gooood shots: D

And this is how the mela came to an end!!! Fantastic evening this was… and we all came out tired of laughing and screaming and enjoying…

Back to Qutub Minar only to realize that the car was locked in the parking and we had to go the Police Station to get a slip to get the car out… Mehrauli Police Station which was about a km away is where we went and the people there were more then helpful in sending someone with us to get the car…

Our next pit stop was Dilli Haat… good Chinese food from the Nagaland stall... and beer... ya ya... fruit beer!!! And then everyone suddenly had the urge to have a drink or two… a small discussion on the pubs around... and we reached a consensus that DV8 is where we were going… quickly reached there from Dilli Haat.. The roads were pretty empty at that hour… and had our share of drinks… and more fun and more laughter… and some damn good music… and it was pure fun to see Angie HIGH!!! :D

A walk back the parking lot at 0030 hrs in the night in CP is something that I would love to do any day… rather any night ? quick ta tus, and bye byes and hugs and we moved in our directions…

Only to meet again and have our share of happiness from the lives we touch!!!

SeCrEtS.....mmmmmmmmmm.....

Richa wants me to share 10 things which most of the people do not know about me on my blog....My first reaction was is she out of her mind or what :P but then keeping in mind the kind of darling she is to me... I have to do what she says... here we go ...

#1...
I got lost thrice when we used to stay in Bhogal... my mom all the three times managed to find me... I guess wandering off to the unknown territory has always been with me :)

Wondering what would have happened to me if she had not found me... scary!!!

#2...
I used to come first in my classwhen I was a kid... Nursery, KG, First... and I used to get a trophy every time... in second, when my final exam's result was out, I did not bother to check it and went straight to my class teacher and asked for my trophy... she did not have a trophy for me and asked me to talk to mom... who then told me that I came second and not first... I still remember crying like hell, not because I was second, but because I did not get the trophy....

#3…
I could not make any good friends when I was in school… infact I do not even know where most of the people from school are today…

#4…
I used to be shit scared of Ghosts… There were times when I had to go the terrace in our previous house to pick up clothes and all… and that is when I used to sing loudly in the stairs so that if there were any ghosts on the terrace they would know I am coming and go away….

#5…
I have always wanted to keep long hair… but have been able to manage it… It gets too messy… and I quickly revert back to my short sweet haircut…

#6…
If I had to choose between making out and sex, I would choose Making out…

#7…
I do not like girls who cannot carry their clothes properly… there are so many of them out there who do not know what kinda bra they should be wearing, or should they even wear the tight fit trousers or not… yuck !!!

#8…
Smartness is a turn on for me… someone looking hott would for sure grab attention but if I cannot communicate with her, she is as good as a nice looking paper weight....

#9…
I have always wanted to get into an affair with a woman in her mid 30s… I think that is the age when women are the sexiest !!! As a matter of fact, I have always got along very very well with women who are elder to me…

#10…
I wanted to be Lingerie store sales man, for a very very long time before I realized that most of the women who come in there call the sales man “Bhaiyya”… (Brother)

Anyone game for this on their blog too? let me know if you find this excitingly risky and write your secrets as well :D
