Some rice with curd, helped ease the pain...
The Shawshank Redemption and Ned Kelly on the screen...
Friday's over and Saturday comes clean...
A lazy day on the couch, a call home, no bath and internet...
Saturday is when I get my food and keep it where it should be kept...
Finished the dinner and about to rest...
Abhi calls and asks me to come over, the sub-zero temprature outside is ON for a test...
I miss a train, and the next one's late...
Cold winds, empty platform, nothing to do for 40 minutes... oh c'mon thats not fate !
OK !!! enough!!! That's IT for the poetic dude !!!
This is till Saturday night... Sunday... NOTHING done... too good... waking up at 1100 hrs, saw three episodes of The Great Indian Laughter Challange back to back and laughed my ass out a number of times in a long time... loved watching it...
Evening just walked around, went to a nice restaurant in Kensington, owned by Abhishek's friend Shahid, had amazing masala tea after a nice dinner... and took the last train home...
Walking back home at midnight on a footpath which is slippery because of frost on it was fun... even jumped and hopped around on my way... it was fun being with myself...
I think I saw a FOX as well on my way near my house... it was not a DOG, it was not a cat... I don't know of any other animals around...
Should go off to sleep now.. have a long week ahead and a nice break next week when I go snow hunting up north in this island...
Hope the coming week is blessed !!! Happy English Diwali :)
Like the feel of this post...even if it wasn't the perfect one, you feel good about yourself. For the first time, I see you enjoying your company alone. OM, KEEP IT UP...and god bless.
ReplyDeleteYour never feel lonely if you enjoy the company of the one you are alone with...
ReplyDeleteloved the post and my eyes gleamed at the mention of masala chai :)

Every time i visit your blog, i find really interesting flavours out here!! A mix of all kinds of emotions expressed in brilliant words and images!
ReplyDeleteeven i spent the past four days alone at home... Family's out of town, and really enjoyed the time off to myself! A post about it will hopefully come soon (as soon as i'm over my new found obsession of attempting to write Hindi poems!)... As of now, beginning to miss mom!!
Have a great week ahead!! God Bless...
Thanks Amandeep...
ReplyDeletehappy that you like it when you come here :)
home alone? nice nice... what have you been doing?
:-) Have been pampering myself completely!! Beauty treatments :-D, reading, loads of writing, music, cooking, and some boring household tasks!!! And most importantly, a lot of soul searching and introspection...
ReplyDeleteExpecting my folks back early tomorrow morning... Looking forwar to seeing them now!!
That sounds nice...
ReplyDeleteespecially the last part :)
hope you don't miss that time alone too much when every one is back..
Take care :)
Tell me when you run out of all options. My time begins then. :D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy..and if you really think you don't have much to do, I will tell you what all is pending still. :D
I think I ran out of the ones that make me sad...
ReplyDeleteI am angry for some reason, and I am able to find things that keep my thoughts away from that :)
about the to-do list... shoot an email and i shall keep updating you whenever there is a change...
Chanel is one of the items on the list is it? :D
he he he...you are becoming Kalidas ka bhai adidas :)
ReplyDeletePoem was awesome :))
And I really doubt if it was a Fox !! Could be just a big cat :) raat ke 12 baaje pata nahi tune kyaa dekha !!
~ You Are...
ReplyDeleteHm... thank you thank you..
Whatever it was, it was not too far away...
CATs don't have that long elongated nose...
And Dogs don't have that kind of tails...
There are large open fields around the place where I live... It can be a fox for all you know !!!
sweet poem...
ReplyDeleteso much for being an IT dude :)
jumping & hopping on that frosty pathway must be fun.. did it reminded u of sid from the ice age?
u going fr snow hunting and i m already terribly jealous of u!!!
hv loadsa fun :)
IT is where the head is... and a part of the heart too because I like what I do a lot...
ReplyDeletethe bigger part of the hart ( read heart) lies somewhere else !!!
A friend used to call me Sid (from Ice Age only) because of my resemblance in terms of looks, :D cheap humor, ability to speak sense at a few times in the day, and blabber non stop till i exhaust myself :D
those days seem to be ice ages ago though :)
but it was fun... i was doing it more to avoid stepping on the cold icy footpath and realized i am liking it :) so carried on...
snow hunting yes... people here are labeling me insane though... EVERYTHING is going to be closed on 25th and 26th and I would be out looking for snow... I might have to hunt for food too i guess...
LOL@ Fox :D ho bhi sakta hai ;)
ReplyDeleteChai! HMPH main ja ree :(

Nnjoy!
Tu chai ke naam se chidti kyon hai :D
ReplyDeleteand that was a fox.. i know for sure... it had the cunning walk too...
English diwali hi hai... hamara yahan sirf trees hi to nai hote baaki sab to woi hai..
yahan raat ko santa singh aata hai, hamare yahan LaxmiJi
Inko gifts deta hai santa ( modern log hain ye) aur hamein paisa milta hai ( thoda traditional)
Raat ko lights hoti hai yahan bhi wahan bhi :D
