Do you think Singles have to work harder? Probably because they cannot say to the boss, that they have a wife, or a husband or a kid waiting back home?
My boss understands my marital probs better ever since he got married (2 months ago). so may be it also depends on the fact whether your boss is married or single... lolz!

My thoughts on this... Singles don't HAVE to work harder (we all have a choice, don't we), but they are definitely EXPECTED to put in more hours. A single friend of mine was once told "oh, you're single, you shld work on weekends too". Of course, she got pretty pissed coz it was assumed that there is no "life" other than work and family.
