I believe that one single incident cannot really be good enough for anyone to pass a judgment about the entire country or a state for that matter, however with incidents like what happened in Gurgaon in the Honda Factory where hundreds of people were mercilessly beaten up by the policemen, the time when couple in Meerut were beaten by the policemen and policewomen for being together in a park... and now the dragging of a pickpocket in Bihar...
While I am sure that there is some action/ punishment required to straighten things up and the not so legal acts... but is this the right way? Are they trying to be heroes or something?
I would not be lying if I say that I am more scared by the police around me as compared to the criminals... At least the criminals keep into hiding, but the police can roam around freely doing what they want and the way they want...
And to add to an icing on the cake, there would usually be a few ppl suspended for beating the shit out of common people, and there would be a few people suspended (for shaking hands with Sanjay Dutt, when he is released on bail), there would be a group of people to enquire about the whole incident, and the opposition would ask the Chief Minister to resign and the incident would go on a completely different tangent...
Shameful and painful...
