Holi(day) aftereffects

Holi could not be complete without a few songs for me... Though I do not really play, and mostly because of lack of company, which has led to Holi being just one of the many days in a year, I still think that the following songs make the festival worth it... Did not do much or anything about Holi today, but thought of putting these songs together in a post before the day ends!

Its impossible to rank these songs in any particular order and hence just a random sequence...

शायद खतरों से खेलने का शौक है मुझे...

पैसे ! ऐसे कैसे पैसे मांग रहे हो?

वो नोट तो दो रुपे का था !
अरे तो ये लकड़ी दो रुपे की है !
दो रुपे में इत्ती सी लकड़ी !!
और नहीं तो क्या दो रुपे में आप सारा जंगल खरीदने निकले थे?

सूरमा भोपाली, हम जेल जाना चाहते हैं !

भोपाल होता तो हम वैसे ही दो मिनट में आपको अन्दर करवा देते ! हमारा नाम सूरमा भोपाली वैसे ही नै ये!

Basanntiiii...

Veeru meant that Gabbar and his Goons were dogs...

Basanti took it literally... she thought Veeru was referring to actual DOGS... and there were none around... hence that dance...

Another thought is that Basanti was a trained dancer... she was supposed to dance to get all the film fees...

Plus we think that she felt that Gabbar could bring her a better future then veeru, because of his power, resources, and his ability to get crowds... either by choice or by force...

And Gabbar also knew that she could dance her ass out... he had checked the babe out in a marriage where "wo Bahut Jor Naachi Thi..."

There is so much about Sholey that can be talked about over and over again...

Abhi chalta hoon...

Gotta drive to Dharamshaala....
