JiM CoRbEtt NaTiOnAL PaRk !!!

phone calls and sms.. they really give you what you want sometimes...

i got one sms last week.. i guess on thursday.. here is what i it said...

going to jim corbett.. kharcha approx 2400 bucks... leaving saturday...

and my reply which never went out of my cell.. i hate to type sms... was OK... however i made a call later and confirmed my presence for the trip...

the plan was to leave delhi on saturday early morning.. and be back by sunday evening.. it was going to be a quick getaway.. but then with the kinda guy i am.. anything outside this concrete jungle is fine with me... so i happily agreed.. even though i am running very very tight on cash... and Aro has helped me by letting me pay only 2000 bucks as of now.. and pay the rest when i want to... he will take care of my share as of now..

could not pack my stuff on friday because of a photo shoot late night... so came back around 0100 hrs.. and slept... i was really too tired to go ahead and pack my clothes.. thought will do it in the morning only...
Saturday... 0630 hours..

the murga on my cell phone starts screaming.. and i without wasting any time get up to get ready for my first visit to the well known JIM Corbett National Park !!!

i just fill my bag with one t-shirt, a pair of tracks.. one jacket and a shawl... that looked good enough... oh.. and not to forget my camera... 4 rolls.. and the tripod !!!!

left house at 0745 hrs to meet up the guys at Akshardham Flyover around 0800.. these guys were late and managed to pik me up at 0830 hrs only.... it was one of those cute Tempo Travellers that Aro had hired for this trip.. had seen a lot of them on my way to the Valley of Flowers.. guess a lot of sardars travel in these.. and call it coincidence... our driver was a Sardarji too... so a quick Sat Sri Akal... a brief round of into with Aro's team... i only knew Ruchi and Sanjit... and had heard about Indranil... rest were new to me.. and i was new to them... lemme recall their names.. i was too caught up with myself in the next two days to remember any names... i think we had Shilpi, Priya, Adeesha and Ruchi with Sunny, IG, Harshit, Sanjit Aro.... i am missing out on one name here... and i think i do not remember one or two names correctly as well... anyway... so the bus.. or the tempo kept moving slowly towards our desitnation...
the tempo traveller...

i was already bored because of the slow speed.. this was the same road that let me drive at a constant 90 kmph..and i was sitting right behind the driver causing more irritation when he was driving at 70 kmph... bigger vehicles seem to be running slowly then they really are as well..

we took the morabadab bypass and crossed it before we turned left towards the corbett which was still 95 kms away !!!

the road so far was just fine.. and from now it was going to get bad to worse.. kashipur had a diversion.. and it took us atleast an hour to get out of that town... we finally reached ramnagar... and asked for our resort which was the Corbett Nature Camp... about 10 kms from RamNagar we reached the camp around 1600 hrs... nice camp with cottages trying to look like huts... amongst the thick mango trees.. gave it a different look.. however i personally do not like places where they have to make a cottage look like a village... i have stayed in such huts real ones.. and i know how different it is from the artificial ones !!!

our camp... The Corbett Nature Camp

anyway... we kept our stuff in our respective cottages.. and what do i hear next... some loud music... phew... where the hell was that coming from.. and i soon found out that the kids there brought a speaker set complete with a sub-woofer with them !!! phew.. kids i tell you... i was out there looking for peace.. and it looked like i was not going to get it.. but then these were sensible kids and did not have the music very loud...
near the camp...

i was carrying only one extra pair of clothes.. so i just washed my face.. or maybe i did not.. and just grabbed the camera and went to the river side... there is this charm of being next to a river... lovely 1!! same feeling that i get near ganges in rishikesh.. just that this river was kinda small in comparison.. very small infact...
the river kosi...

the sun setting over the Jim Corbett Park

took some fotos... checked out the place around... decided that we have to cross the river on foot tmrw... and came back...had some snacks.. and just walked around... soon it was time for the bon fire... enjoyed it big time.. with antakshri being played between the girl and the boy teams...
the team enjoying the fire...

fire fire burning bright...

i was given the task of capturing that on tape... with a handycam coz i was not singing... lovely competition... and some realy good moments.. such things make trips memorable...

just walking around...

had a nice dinner around 2030 hours and rushed to sleep....
our camp guy told us that we better be ready by 0430 hours if we wanted to enter the jungle at all... there was a huge rush of visitors thanks tothe weekend... i was not really taking the seriously but then getting up early was not a problem.. in anycase i prefer to sleep a li'il less on my trips... so after some talks with aro.. i slept... to wake up early morning !!!

Sunday 0345 hrs....

the murga again started screaming.. and i got up.. got fresh... i was sleepy yes... and theni heard some noises... and guess was everyone was awake... strange... looks like everyone was excited about the safari.. very very interesting !!!

woko aro up... his phone's alarm also rang.. some irritating alarm that is i tell you... we were all ready by 0430 to go to the safari.... the gypsys were already there... and when were moved towards the entrance that is when i realised how serious the camp coordinator was...
we overtook atleart 4 jeeps.. and were pushed behind by 3 of them... it was more of a race that these jeeps were involved in... why.. lemme tell you...

Ram-Nagar gate... only 30 jeeps allowed in the morning... 15 of them get the booking atleast a month in advance...the rest 15 get the numbers by standing atthe gate at 0100 hrs...
Jhirna... first 30 jeeps allowed inside the jungle... first come first serve basis... and this is the gate that we had to reach... our driver shakeel was good.. and we were the 4th jeep !!!
the sun rising over Ram-nagar

a wait of about 80 minutes... me realising that i was hungry... and that i had to take lotsa snaps.... and that i was at the gate of a great place.... the gates opened... the registration was done by the driver... so no hassles there... as soon as we entered we stood up on our seats so that we do not miss anything...
outside the Jhirna Gate

and were lucky... ya seriously...
just 10 minutes into the safari.. and we spot a huge deer... with biiiiiiiiig horns... and one of the girls in the jeep got too excited... and started shouting... deer deer deer.. i guess that frightened the hell out of that lovely fella.. and he ran back into the bushes...

and that is where our luck came to an end...
i do not actually mind that now.. coz i think there was some aura in that jungle that did not make me miss the animals much... i was spellbound by the beauty of the entire place....

hey but wait.. there was a tiger around...

Shakeel, our driver... suddenly stopped and said that he heard a call... stupid me.. i thought he was talking about a mating call of some deers... turned out that it was the alarm call of deers when they see a tiger.... we took a u turn.. and waiting silently and patiently around the place where the call was coming from... the noises kept getting louder... we heard the deers, the monkeys.. and birds... but did not see the tiger.. neva mind.. the excitement of getting to see one was good enough !!!
waiting for the tiger....after we heard the calls..

the safari continued for another 2.5 hours... and i enjoyed it big time... i love that jungle !!!

back to the camp around 1000 hrs... me and aro had a quick breakfast... and then we moved towards the river.. this time to cross it somehow... we had to walk about 800 metres upstream to find a suitable place to cross it... and when we were both in the middle of the river.. we noticed some village women crossing it from a few metres further upstream with ease.. while we were struggling to keep our balance in place with the camera and tripod with us.. and the shoes hanging over our necks !!! adding more to the embarrassment.. two kids crossed the river in 5 minutes flat when we were about to reach the other side.. and that too in water that was just knee deep... uff !!! what idiots we were.... waist deep in water... lost balance several times.. barely saved ourself from falling inside the water... or call it an adventure... whatever :D
aro... showing me how nicely the women crossed the river...and from where !!!

now we walked downstream again.. to reach the huge stone that aro wanted to sit on... and that meant walking through the water again.. though i was not too keen to do that... but thanks to Aro's will i managed to cross half the river again.. and this time it was pretty easy... and reach that stone.. what a feeling.. accompalishment !!!!
the stone we wanted to reach...
we were Gods :D
and we did...

anyway... we stayed there on the stone.. for about 15 minutes... before we started back to the other side... walk up 800 metres... and this time cross the river in a better and more balanced way... and then walk 800 metres downstream and then climb up to reach the camp !!! done... back at the camp !!! smart guys with wet pants....

had lunch !!! and moved out of the camp around 1400 hrs... we headed straight to the corbett falls.. about 33 kms away... and then had to move to delhi via bajpur, rudrapur moradabad..... Corbett falls was beaituful.. nice li'il waterfall in the middle of nowhere !!!! loved that place... we moved out of there before it was stormed by a group of kids... from some school in ramnagar...
Corbett Falls... about 23 kms away from Ram-Nagar

the journey back home started around 1730 hours... and i reached home at 0130 hrs.. we took two breaks in between.. one in bajpur... and one to have our dinner @ gajraula !!!

lovely trip this was.... i think i have covered mostof the exciting places around delhi with this trip of mine.... where do i go next !!!

Jodhpur? Lanesdown? Dharamshala? Mandi? Tehri?

lets see.... May God be with us !!!!

oh.. and if you want to check out more fotos... check out the flickr badge on the left for JiM CorBett !!! hope you like the fotos !!!

jUst LiKe ThAt !!!

Life is strange..

and stranger is the way you change you look at it from every milestone that you reach in your life...

when you are 21 you feel that ppl who are 27 boring.. and should settle down and not interfere or give GYAN on what you should be doing and what you should not.. you wonder why most of them are so serious.. when its time to play...

and when you are 27 you find it hard to understand why someone who is 21 has to talk all the time.. why can't you just think and ponder over what you want to do in your life for a moment... why can't you have your own goals in life clear....

i think we forget that we were also 21 sometime back...

i know when i was still in college, i was of the most stupid ppl around.. i did not have a clue about the industry.. what i wanted to do in my life.. except that i wanted a job in the software field... and do what? no, i did not know that either... strange !!! and today i wonder why these young adults cannot act more responsibly and learn from what ppl a li'il older have been through...

anyway.. i have grown with time.. and i am sure most of them would also live and learn to be where they should be with age... but then.. you do not have any control on growing old.. but definitely growing up is a something that happens because of yourself....

another thought that has been coming to my mind for the last few days...

what is attractive?
yes i am talking about myself and what i feel attractive in the opposite sex...

looks.. yes... but offlate i have seen myself getting attracted towards the nicer looking dames... but not really being keen to talk to them...

but then girls who i feel can talk.. and i can get into conversations with, i find that they are far more attractive then any beauty queen !!! the intelligence that some of them have gives then far more charm then a hourglass figure would !!!

MoRe !!!

how does this sound?

lots of work..
late night movies...
excellent music...
and some good creative thoughts..

looks like i have all the reasons to enjoy my life..

oh.. and did i forgot that india won their fifth match with a quite a good margin... 7 wickets eh...

coming to it point by poiint..

i can work best when challanged to perform.. for that matter everyone does.. but do i care.. the answer is not.. i am here to care about myself and not do any charity... so that fact of the matter remains that i have loads and loads of work to do.. in a li'il less time then i need to complete it... and i am loving it...
the bad thoughts that i did not get any appraisal..
that i have not been treated nicely... etc etc do not even come to my mind...

hopefully the right people would know that I AM the right guy !!!

next...
late night movies... i saw Jerry Mcguire today on Star Movies... lovely movie.. i have seen it in bits and peices.. but today i sat down and saw the whole damn movie.. and am i happy or what... its a good movie.. must see for someone who thinks that there are things that will break you in peices as a human... if you can collect yourself.. and have the balls to fight the odds.. there is nothing that can stop you from getting what you deserve....

excellent music...
for the last two days i am listening to 99.9fm... no no.. this is not a new station.. no its not even a worldspace station... its a soundtrack... 99.9fm is a movie.. a li'il different from the MSC... main stream cinema... and the soundtrack.. rich... well thats the word that i have for it... it has such a charismatic blend of the right quantity of classical, vocal, intrumental, pop and folk... singers like Shobha Mudgal, Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Shaan feature in this soundtrack... worth a buy... oh that reminds me.. i have to search for the OST on Limewire.. lemme pull it up... guys.. do try Limewire.. one of the best P2P software that i have used... and the lightest on your PC too...

creative thoughts..
i sat down with gaurav today.. and discussed with him the ideas that i had for the site.. i think he liked them.. i also made some sketches of the fotos that i wanted him to click.. and i might click them too... and he has permitted me to use his Canon 350D in the next shoot... and play around.. so i get to do some stuff as well... thanks Tushar for helping me with the fire... love you brother !!!

today was the happy budday of my young cousin.. Ashu.. he is one of the best chaps that i know.. sincere and honest.. brother may God bless you with all the happiness that you deserve in your life..

sorry richa for not being able to talk to you in the last few days.. hope you understand how caught up i am...

tushar.. i have made a small file.. will send it to you as soon i find myself satisfied with the result...

had to write all this before i go off to sleep... feeling more better now :D
:D

BiZiE !!!

last two days have been really really hectic... to the extent that yesterday i did not get time have my food as well...

so i was fasting on a Tuesday.. thats a good sign eh !!!

the health part has improved a li'il bit... when you have a bad throat youshould keep quiet.. and i think i have been speaking the most in the last two days.. and that seems to have taken care of my problem :)

anyway.. tushar was kind enough to call me for a soup on monday evening... and i obliged him :P...
for some reason whatever he said that evening was very very valid... not that he does not say valid things otherwise, but monday evening he looked focused and very inspiring... i was keen on taking care of the things that we discussed, but thanks to the work load in office, i am not in a position to open my PC once i reach home in the night !!!

but tushar bhai i will make sure that this weekend i have something to show you ...

yesterday was just fine... except that not eating food part... Deepali came over to see me from the other building and that was something very very sweet of her... i am also chatting a li'il with Shilpa.. who i call Shipla and she seems to be a nice girl too... had some interesting convos with her which i will post sometime later...

for now.. i will go and get back to work...

FiAT TaKeS a STeP !!!

am i happy or what...

Fiat India's site is back up... there were loads of talks going about FIAT packing their bags and leaving.. and then Hinduja's came into picture.. and then the TATAs... and finally there is a MOU between the TATAs and FIAT... which means that TATA is going to benefit with the FIAT technology... and FIAT is going to benefit with the TATA's ASS (After Sales Service)...

win win for both the parties.. and for the few FIAT owners in India who swear by their cars... and i am one of them...

me and deepu were talking about FIAT yesterday.. the there is no sale of fiat.. and i told him.. that there is no After Sale.. or Re-sale either... you need to have some balls to buy a Fiat.. and trust me... its a delight to own... and needless to say i am tottally obsessed with my car...

ok.. back to the main point.. FIAT India's website is up and running.. which means that I would have that site open on my computer all the time.. which used to be the case when i bought the car.. and what can be better then seeing the Ferrari Red colour on the site.. something that i OWN....

love you baby.. you are the best thing that has happened to me ever.. and i am not kidding !!!

here is a pic of my love for ppl who have not met her yet !!!

OrKuT DeLhi MeEt... ChApTeR - III

the day started like any other day... but with a lot of comfort... comfort that i did not have to go to the office.. and the rest of my office mates were working... it gives a strange kind of happiness when you can take an off from your work for nothing...

i wanted to work for half a day.. but could not manage to get the laptop out... and i do not regret it... i have to learn to smart work.. and add it to the hard work that i do...

anyway... today was a ODM day... the Chapter three was to be written today.. i was waiting for it anxiously... not for any specific reasons... but then this is one day when i get to meet a few ppl i gel well with... ppl who have accepted me as who and what i am.. and not because of how i look... and i have reciprocated in a similar fashion...

i would be lying if i say that looks do that matter... but then this was an exception to this normal human thinking mind... i look forward to the quality people that these are.. not how they look !!!

i was late for the Chapter-II, and this time i did not want to take any chances... i called up Aseem around 1250 hours.. and told him that i would park my car at his place.. and then we will walk down to the CCD where we were supposed to meet up with the rest of the gang... i was there by 1345 hours sharp... and aseem was getting ready while i chatter briefly with his brother... his brother had joined us in the Chapter - I when we had gone to Ansal's Plaza on the First of April'05... eatopia is where we had dinner... and the famous papad and chatney story was made !!!

ok back to future... we were walking towards the CCD when i got a message from Richa... that she was lost and did not know where to go.. and was standing in front of Wimpy's.. i told her to wait there and wait for me and Aseem... and then Deepu called... and told me that Jassi had to leave for Noida.. he had to meet some friend of his... so we kinda rushed... met Richa... and she could not stop speaking her typical "shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" when she found out that she had walked right past CCD thinking that it was the music world ( Music World... you do not have chairs in there... :) anyway... you can label it as cute.. and move on...

so we reach there... walk up the stairs.. to find that Jassi and Deepu had company... Avikal.. i could recognise him from the fotos that he has posted but he looks older in his fotos on the net... otherwise he is a smart looking young man !!! and the other fella was Shami... i hope i am spelling his name correct... Avikal works in some firm in CP itself.. and Shammi has his office in NOIDA, do not remember the name of the firm.. but it is just a stone's throw distance from my house.. how i wish i could get a job which was this close to my place... i could atually catch a nap in the afternoons when the work pressure is less...

ok.. back to reality... Bhaskar joined us in a while.. and we all did wish Aseem a very happy burthday... i think he turned 30 today... just kidding.. he is 23 now... or 24... but not 30 for sure... that reminds me.. he did not give us a party.. and we did not give him the bumps... manh.. i will kick your ass wheni meet you next... beware...

CCD was hot and loud.. and they did not take my order coz they were transferring cash.. and jassi had to leave... so we moved from there... made a few efforts to get Jassi an auto for NOIDA... and then moved to a different cafe.. it was hot as well... and after making the guys there arrange for us 7 to sit.. we moved out... and trust me it was nicer outside then inside that cafe...

Avikal decided that he had to go back to his office now.. and we were 6 of us left... Aseem, Me and Bhaskar have been there in all the three chapters... Deepu was in his second ODM... and Richa and Shammi in their first....

we then decided to move to the Cafe 100... we guys had food last time there.. and it was pretty decent... so we enter there... and no space to sit... we wait and get a place in about 15 odd mintues... during that time... we also discussed the possibility of going to Paranthe wali gali for some food.. but the idea was dropped because the ppl were not very comfortable...

the talks continued... people knew more about each other.. i got angry with Deepak because he reads so much and does not write... and people like me who are not able to read much suffer... well how much effort is it to actually read something that opinionate it and write about it.. atleast some ppl like me would get to know more... and might learn new things... i think he will write now... hope he writes as simply as Anurag Mathur or Chetan Bhagat do.. he is a good writer... and a good person to talk to... and is getting to be a good photographer.. i envy him for the knowledge that he gets from reading.. i can do that too... but for some reason.. i am one lazy ass to read...

we talked about why Chennai should be the capital of India... and why the people inother cities invariably compare themself to Delhi.. i do not think Delhi has any of its populattion of its own.. its people from all over who have made this city what it is... it has its highs.. and it has its lows.. but still this a good place to be in... we also talked about how good it is to drive in Delhi... what kinda books can one read.. what are the new businesses that are coming up... the good part being that the conversation involved everyone.. and it was turning out to be a good meet...

richa wanted to leave early but Deepu bribed her with an offer to drop her back home.. and that worked.. in india.. bribes really really help... and she stayed for a while longer... we moved out.. and then my boss called.. he was not happy about me sharing some report with the team from Singapore.. i did not understand why he had a problem.. but then like any boss.. he has the right to have a problem.. i think that is one of the things that is there in a BOSS's KRA... have problems with what people around you do... anyway... when i joined the convo back.. they were talking about DU and fests and all.. Richa is to help us get into all the fests that she can this academic year... hai na richa?

oh.. i remember.. we also talked about what would happen if Birla Institute of Technology was owned by the Tatas... what would we call it then.. its called BITS now... hehehe.. funny isn't it...

we also went to the book shop near plaza.. we had to buy a couple of books there.. but then it turned out that we would take more fotos.. then look at books.. so we did.. lots of snaps.. lets see how soon deepak can upload some of them...

deepu and Richa left after we had some shakes at Cavenders... the shakes were not as good as they used to be.. anyway.. that is understood... so now four of us were left... and we went to Palika to shop for DVDs.. i think we bought about 11 of them... different titles.. and the idea of having a ODM Library came up.. we might like to keep our DVDs safe.. and let the other ODM members borrow the DvD titles from the library... as and when they need it... good idea.. might just save us a lot of money.. right eh...

i bought 6 dvds in all.. and the movie listing goes like this.. Godfather ( all three parts), Conair, Face Off, The Rock, Gone in 60 Seconds, Lord of the Rings (Three parts), Deep Blue Sea, Shark Zone, Jaws ( all three parts), The Gods must be crazy ( Three parts), and a DVD titled "Greatest Hits of Japanese Cinema".. Gaurav, my fotography guru has stayed in Japan for over 3 years.. he might like to have this DVD as a gift.. lets see.. if i really like the movies then i will keep that Dvd myself.. and just lend it to him for a couple of days to watch :) and return...

ok.. back to ODM... once the shopping spree was done with.. we decided to call it a day !!! Aseem and me... went back to his place so that i could pick up my car and come back home... and Bhaskar and Shammi wanted to talk about something so they sat together... this brought the ODM Chapter - III to an end.. all of us waiting for the Chapter IV for sure...

God bless us all..

back home.. i tool mom to the market.. and went around looking for some trousers.. and finally found a shop with some very very decent stuff.. and at excellent prices.. bought two very nice trousers for 1190 bucks.. and one shirt for 395... the kinda clothes that i have been looking for... will collect the trousers in the morning...

nice day this was... looking forward to such exciting days ahead too...

i love shopping.. and i realise it only after i get the stuff i want.. before that it usually is a pain :)

ShE !!!

she was beautiful...
he was the silent one...

he loved her...
she did not even know...

she was happy...
he knew she was getting married...

he was sad...
she was excited...

and then.. he woke up...
it was 5 o'clock of that winter morning... he was dreaming...

the dream was true...

sOmEtHiNg fRoM eVeRyThiNg !!!

if i had to ever choose between fame and money.. i would give away all the money.. ok.. lets be practical.. a large portion of that money... to take the fame...

i realise that lots of money is not on the list of things i want for myself... just enough to keep myself content and not feel that i am missing out on things important to me should be good enough... i am happy that my expectations from life are not sky high.. they are where i can reach for them... with an effort ofcourse.. but i will...and i will....

i want respect for what i am... i will take scoldings for what i did not do.. only if they are combined with the words which tell me whatever li'il i have done...

i give love and comfort to people i like... and i want to be the best listener they can get... and i do not want anyone to try and be a part of my life unless i want to...

i am selfish and i think about myself before i think about anyone else... i am weak still that i cannot say no to a lot of people coz i think they will be hurt... i do not like it...

at the end of my day i do not want to speak.. i just want to sit on my roof and see the sky... dark... with a few stars... and breeze to kiss my body...

i sleep today looking forward to another beautiful morning... i lie down right now to get up to a new beginning.... i die today to be born again.... i loose today to win tomorrow... i cry today to know what smiles are worth... i smile today because i have cried yesterday...

i will stop for now... love you ma... love you pa... love you all the people i care for... i will make sure you are proud of me one day !!!

SoMeThiNgs !!!

ok... diwali morning...

loads and loads of SMSs...most of them forwards... i feel that we have stopped having that personal touch to our wishes...
it has been reduced to just forwarded emails and forwarded test messages.. andthat occasional picture message...

i still remember the days when i used to spend a good time shortlisting cards for my friends and relatives... and then write their addresses... and then post them... i miss those days...

ok.. no sad talk for today... today is a good day and it should be celebrated with smiles.... and not thinking about things have changes over the last few years...

i have taken about 35 snaps in the last two days and hoping that atleast 10 of them come out the way i wanted...

am sitting in tushar's room right now while he is having his lunch...
and i am writing away to glory on my blog...

there were a few more things that i was thinking of yesterday... have not been able to start any new book, thanks to some useless friends...
they have not given me any ideas so far... however Deepu called today and he gave me some thoughts.. lets see if i can make something out it...
tushar expects me to start reading some toughies... i cannot do that... i have to read something that i associate myself with...
something which is closer to the world that i have known !!!

chetan bhagat has written something which is of that sort and that let me read the two books he has written.. dunno of any other authors... i think i will read "The Inscrutable Americans" by Anurag Mathur.. i will take it from Tushar today...

chatted with a doc yesterday evening.. it was nice... she is a doctor.. and working with a pathlab... and is off to a small vacation today... i wish i could have used these 4 days to travel... its rare that i get four official offs...

anyway...
i will stop now... gotta finish the fanta tushar just gave me... and i have to go buy a shirt too.. white one.. nice one...

and i want to go for a look makeover.. i want to change my hairstyle..
and i want to keep a li'il bit of beard... sounds weird.. does it..

well thats me...

oh... and after i wrote this post.. i could not upload it.. so i went to the market with Tussar.. and bought a shirt for myself... finally i am the proud owner of a white shirt... abhi i will wear it :)

so diwali means new clothes for me too this year :)

Happy Diwali everyone !!!

29/10/05

LaSt WeEk....tHiS wEeKeNd !!!!

really do not have much to write today..

just that there is a long small vacation ahead of me.. long because its rare that you get 4 days off work officially...
and short because i am sure these 4 days are going to fly by like deadlines do... hehe.. actually one of these 4 is already kinda over...

last week was exciting... office was hectic but was good.. i might just get a chance to be responsible of a tool rollout across india which means.. a lot of preperation at my side... training material, training plans, look at the infra needed.. prepare checklists... and loads more... and hey... i am not complaining.. i am looking forward to it...

this also means that things are going to be tough till 31-Jan-06

another achievement for the last week...

two books
names: Five Point Someone and One Night @ the Call Centre
one author
name : Chetan Bhagat
one reader
reader's a name : Prashant Bhardwaj
total time to finish the books: not more then 10 hours across the whole week..

this is really an achievement for someone who has not read many books.. i just do not like it.. but this time it was different coz the books were simple and interesting.. tushar wants me to read something more complicated and break away from the mind block of not being able to understand books.. i am not sure if that is going to happen... i still want to read things which are simple.. and do not want me to understand them... anyway lets see...

i did not have time to think a lot this week other then work.. however a few things are there on my mind and i might just write about them wheni think about them a li'il more...

~) what was the girl who got raped a few days back doing at a bus stop on Vikas Marg at 0300 hrs... and why did she take a lift from a cab which had 3 guys in it? not to say that the bastards who did what they did is right.. but is anyone other then them also responsible for this kinda act?

~) a few weeks back i was thinking that i like being alone.. and this feeling is getting stronger and stronger... i do not really like when my cell ohone rings when i want to be with me... for 3 days lagataar i am going to the T-SHOP and i usually do not have much to talk about.. i just want to rest in peace...

~) gaurav, my fotography guru saw my fotos and was kinda happy about what i am doing these days.. but he still is not too keen to see too much in my fotos.. he wants me to have an eye for detail which i guess i am developing slowly...

~) i want to read something like i did last week.. but unfortunately i do not have anything to read... i do not want to read something which is too much of fiction.. rather have something which is kinda real and simple.. and i can associate with..

~) i want to do something worthwhile in the next 3 days.. cleaning up the mess in my room tops the list... if i can do it or not is something that i come to find out only tmrw evening.. coz that is when i will know if i have done it or not...

~) i am sad about the blasts that happened today in delhi... everyone suddenly has the opportunity to point a finger at the administration and the police without realising that we as people are more responsible for not being able to identify the unidentified objects leading to these blasts... police cannot check the bags of the thousands of ppl who walk into the markets everyday.. but we can always keep our eyes open and stay alert... i think i you we should be acting more responsibly then starting to blame the entire police dept and the politicians for what they do not do... politicians in india do not do anything in any case... except displaying their grief on any unfortunate incident and offering some lacs to the relatives of the dead... would request anyone who is reading this to be more alert and act responsible for himself as well as everyone around them...

~) aro called me as soon as he knew of the blasts and wanted to know if i was alright... love u man !!!

~) i might read some Sherlock Holmes tonight.. lets see...

too many words again... i feel at times that i need to limit the amount that i write in every post.. but then it does not happen...

whatever...

have a good weekend everyone... and be safe... and keep ppl around you safe too...

HiGh... eeeeyaaah !!!

high.. yes... i was high....

loud music takes me to the levels where normal humans reach after they have a couple of drinks.. actually a lot of drinks..

IBM throws a party for its ppl working on Bharti account... and i reach the party venue ( Vasu Garden) around 2000 hrs...

what do i hear.. some instrumental music.. and a scattered lot of ppl enjoying their drinks... i know that once the ppl get drunk that is when the real party for them begins.. infact in most of such parties i have seen that ppl only come to have a free drink.. rather... a lot of free drinks...

hmm.. so i pick up my favorite drink too... pineapple juice.. neat !!!!

and then after a while.. deepali who is supposed to dance her way to glory with me comes to the party.. she is a ordinary looking girl but with a cute smile.. and a beautiful heart.. thodi si confused types bhi hai.. and manages to smile at most of the sick jokes that i belt out of my system :)

ok.. so she takes her vodka with some orange juice.. and does not like it... and once we are done with the drinking part.. we head towards the dance floor which is still kinda light and empty...

and then there is nothing which stops prashant.. good music.. a very talented dancer with him... and his ability to shake a leg or two... purrrrfect...

shilpa also joined us after a while.. she is a cute and a pretty girl.. not hott though...

and there is this other dame there.. which is like toooooooo hott... well i find her hott.. so i find her hott.. and so she is hott.. and she is so hott.. hehehe... ( add taking her out to my "someday list" please.. someone)

two hours of dance with some small breaks... sweating away to the high of mushiq... and that makes me realise that i cannot dance for more then 30 minutes together... i need a break in between... am i turning old or what....

whatever...

i also did my Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra and Mithun Da bits to make ppl laugh around... oh and not to forget the "drunk dunno know nothing about dance" steps ... that was interesting too...

the DJ was nothing great.. just ok... and he played a li'il too much of punjabi songs that i had never heard.. however he was kind enough to play Kala Chashma when i requested him for it... kala chashma reminds me of the great parties tht i have attended at Hughes.. and i start missing all of my lovely friends out there... i miss when we used to almost kill ourself dancing.. my first rain dance... phew... Hughes was the best time of my life...

love you all the ppl at hughes.. u are the best...

i did not ask him to play Summer of 69 and i hate myself for that... i do not think a lot of ppl would have liked that song there... they were a li'il too impressed with his collection of the punjabi bits...

the evening at the party ended with a light lunch.. oops the dinner... see i told you i was high during and after the dance :)

loved the rabri and the jalebi...

and left.... the day ends... the party is over for me..

oops.. missed one thing.. interesting one...

@ saket red light... amit diverts my attention to an indica on our left.. white one... driven around by an ordinary looking driver.. with some extra-ordinary things happening on the rear seat...

i am sure you have guessed it by now.. if yes.. no marks for guessing it right.. and if not guessed.. there was a couple making out at the rear seat... bigg time... and they were kinda unaware that the windows of the car were not tinted... so it was kinda obvious that the world could just look at them... and they were not bothered... some love between the two love birds...

someone has rightly said.. love knows no boundaries... looks like they intended to cross atleast a million of them on the rear seat yesterday... well hope they had a great time together... dunno how the driver was feeling though... poor fella...

reached home at 0000 hrs... changed clothes and slept... woke up at 0630 hours... and got a li'il late to the office...

most of the time spent in a detailed discussion with the Singapore team... got some appreciation for my knowledge about the work here too.. nice eh !!!

and another good thing that happened...

Deepali told me that shilpa told her that i was a nice guy to be with :) and that i danced well.. yippiee...
nice comment from a lovely looking lady...

shilpa ji... you are very sweet.. and your looks add to it :) making you sweeter :)

and shilpa was also wondering why me and deepali are not going around... hehehe.. i am also wondering... but then i guess.. we do not need to be going around to be good friends.. which we are.. so lets just stay there...

i have also a couple of things to write about the kinda ppl i am stuck up with in office these days.. a couple of ppl from my vendor... well.. sometime later.. coz writing about them is really going to spoil my mood...

isn't this post getting a li'il too long... i guessed as much... so why don't u stop reading now.. and post a comment for yours truly :)

bUtTeRfLiEs !!!

he was watching her for quite a while... a few weeks infact... and he thought he liked her.. and the thought of introducing himself to her gave him goosebumps... all the butterflies in his stomach just got up...just the kinda excitement he had when he asked the first ever girl out in his college...

but then.. he had to either keep quiet.. and keep feeling what he felt.. or take that step, larger then the one man took when he landed on the moon, and talk to her...

"hi, i am manish..."
"hi"

"well... i have been noticing you for quite a few days now, and thought of just introducing myself to you..."
"ok" *so*

"so... how are you..."
" i am fine..." *what a way to start a day*

"i am fine too... " *thanks for not asking :(*
" good..."

"umm... i was wondering if you would have sometime to have coffee with me... in the office..."
" well.. i usually am very busy... but i will think about it... maybe sometime... bye..."

"bye.." *have a nice day... phew*
* oh shit... i did not ask her name... so much for being nervous... anyway.. maybe sometime...*

aaargh !!!!

Kanika had written sometime back that you should not hate people... and i agreed...

but then what to do when you know that these people have been playing around with your lives and have managed to screw it up a good bit thanks to them being your supervisors in office...
what do you do when you know that even though they are not a part of your reporting chain anymore, they continue to be around you...
how do you accept their presence when you know that they are the people who have actually thought of nicely and made sure that you do not get what you deserve !!!

shame to such supervisors...

God give me the strength to handle such people who deserve nothing less then hatred...
and the strength to continue with working and trying hard to reach where i should..
God be with me.. coz i need you...

mY fOuRtH RaFTiNg tRiP !!!

I had been thinking of the rafting trip for a while.. in this season.. and the credit to give some fire to this thought goes to my tusaar bhai... and we made a plan quickly...

i talked to a few ppl in the office.. and the idea was nicely welcomed with a few people really keen to join the trip.. so everything was set after long discussions on when to go, how to go, where to stay and all that... we finally decided to hire a cab (with a VCD player) and leave delhi on saturday night... well.. late night..

had already talked to an operator called Pradeep in rishikesh who had made the arrangements there for the rafting from Marine Drive to Rishikesh.. i had been on three trips so far all of them from Shivpuri to Rishikesh.. i had heard that there are few nice rapids between Marine Drive and Shivpuri and this thought excited me enough to plan for the rafting to start from Marine Drive...

so.. instead of the scheduled 2230 hours.... i was picked up at 2300 hours.. and then after picking up Pooja and Renu from Pooja's place we moved ahead to Rishikesh... a few people in the group had never been to Rishikesh so that excitement was obvious.. we also saw Ring on the LCD screen.. and also a few scenes from Munna Bhai... while the rear seat fellows were cribbing about no one talking, the volume being too high.. and so on...

we managed to a reach Haridwar very early around 0400 hours.. and while a good percentage of people wanted to sleep and not come out of the cab into the cold breeze outside.. i was very keen to just get out of there.. and walk around.. so i did.. and the rest of them followed... @ 0400 Har Ki Paudi wears a different look.. there still were a lot of people around.. the water flow to that part was reduced for some cleaning and so on... we roamed around the place for about 30 minutes before moving on towards Rishikesh...

0500 hours.. rishikesh... cold breeze... sleepy people... what was the best that could have happened... :) a toyota qualis parked near Laxman Jhoola.. and the passengers sleeping inside... we slept till 0600 and then i got bored.. and i got out of the car... and after sometime.. managed to get the rest of the gang out too...

the cold air was too much to handle in the morning...

we decided to park the car near Ram Jhoola for the rest of the day.. and kill time there itself till the operator comes in.. and we can start rafting...

in the parking lot at Ram Jhula

a small walk from the parking lot to the banks of the Ganga...

on the other side of the Ram Jhula... you can see it in the background..

and a good hour or so spent there. in the company of some great weather... beautiful breeze.. early morning warm sun...and loads of fun...

they were trying to climb up this rock.. got all wet.. and it was loads of fun...

we went to the operator around 0930 hours where we found out that Amiad who was from Israel was also joining us... and reached Marine Drive in another 45 minutes.. and were kinda stunned looking at the amount of people there... when we reached.. there were atleast 15 rafts... multiply the number by 8 and this many people were there on the banks...

so we waited till we could start rafting.. and there we go.. around 1200 hours... reeeeeeealy cold water... and a new part of the river.. another exciting trip starts here... i was happy...

all set for rafting...top row: sunoj, tushar, me, renu, Amiad... sitting: shubhika, pooja, aditya

lots of rapids were on the way.. good morning, three blind mice, roller coster, return to centre, golf course, peacock, hilton etc.... can't remember all the names right now..

we took two breaks actually three in this part of our journey.. one at shivpuri.. which was a quick breather.. then near Brahmpuri.. for lunch... and then near the jumping point...

While having lunch.. Tushar started talking to Amiad about Hinduism and the way of living.. that convo was too much for me to be a part of, on a rafting trip.. so i decided i wanted to get into the water.. keep myself wet so that i can jump in again...

all wet... just out of the raft...

after having lunch... just sun bathing ;)

i also tried to make a sand castle... tushar was kind enough to help me with a design which got washed off as soon as it was made.. and i managed to have a castle which looked more like a birthday cake with walls around it... and it got washed off too...

Pooja lost one of the slippers here.. and she had to be without them till we reached our cab... and renu was thrown into water twice by yours truly... why.. well she was trying to throw me in.. and i just took some watery... friendly revenge...

cut to the jumping point.. pooja was the first one to climb up.. and the last one to jump :)
i went up.. and was shit scared as soon as reached there... but then.. i jumped again... i know how tough it was the last time i had taken this plunge.. and this was it was equally scary.. but what the heck.. did it....

Amiad jumping from the cliff... and he knew exactly what he was doing...

aditya.. who is a champion swimmer... took a dive perfectly... 10 on 10.. and amiad.. was more then happy to jump the way he wanted into water... pooja jumped twice.. coz the first time her foto could not be clicked... shubhika and renu.. kept gathering some guts to jump. but could not do it... and tushar.. handled the camera during the entire episode...

another awesome experience coming to an end.. and then something which i will never forget happened.... while we were reaching Laxman Jhoola... there was this motorboat which was coming straight towards our raft... we saw it a good 100 metres in advance.. and were expecting the guy to turn it so that it passes by and not hit us.. but that son of a gun kept coming straight.. and we had a head-on with the motor boat when it was at atleast at 40 kmph....

the last that i remember was that the boat was a foot away from me.. and then i was in water... i also remember trying to come out of the water.. and someone pushing me down.... however i finally managed to have my head over water.. and what i saw was not too pleasent.. the motorboat was on the raft and was tilted dangerously while the people in that boat were only trying to get away from the raft and move out of there... everyone who was in the raft was out in the water but had managed to hold on the life-line... and stay close to the raft... i was the one who was the farthest from the raft.. as i had held on to my pedal.. and also had seen two more of them and grabbed them... so none of my hands were free.. and i could not swim.. i could just wait for the guys to come to me and pick me up from water... it was kinda scary.. but i was fine coz i knew that i am not going to drown... i was only afraid thinking that what if they are not able to pick me up before the next rapid... that is when i would have to just leave the pedals and swim my way out of the river somehow...

well that did not happen... i was pulled up well in time... and now the next rapid which was called hilton did not look like a challange to us at all.. we had experience something worse then that...
finally the raft touched our destination.... and we got out.. thanked Sunny who was our guide for the day for being so nice to us, and making the trip exiciting as it was... and moved on towads our cab...
changed clothes.. got fresh.. and moved on towards home... took a small break at the moolchand resorts around 4 kms from the start of the Muzzafarnagar bypass.. and 10 kms from Khatauli... nice food... and had a nice paan there...

was back home at 1230 hours... approx. 26 hours after i left home...

one hell of a trip coming to an end... and me already waiting for the time when i will go back to Marine Drive again.. no.. not marine drive.. i will start from Shivpuri only.. that makes more sense....

a few things to keep in mind when you go to rishikesh for rafting...
  • its cheaper when you arrange for ur rafting after u reach there.. there are loads of operators who would be more then happy to take care of you there...
  • always wear something that dries out fast while you are rafting.. otherwise you might just keep shivering...
  • late march looks like the best time to raft as far as i am concerned... the water level was high when i went in june and this time.. and the rapids were not as exciting... however roller coster was one hell of a rapid...
  • carry a camera... there is so much to look at there.. and capture in a cam...
  • do try to make a sand castle.. i am going to do that the next time i go... i am sure i will make something better then was i made this time..
  • have a pain killer, some bandage, and a couple of band-aids with you... you never know when you need it...
  • carry some good sun screen lotion.. and use it properly before you start rafting...

enough... now get to the link.. and check out the fotos taken with Tushar's cam...

enjoy... will upload the fotos i took from my camera sooon....

WoAh !!!!!

what a weekend it has been...
saturday afternoon spent in Purani Dilli, freaking out on whatever I could eat there... walking atleast 5 kms and riding the most happening underground railway... the Metro... and ofcourse buying the film rolls at a price which is good enough to surpise most of the film based cam users...

saturday night... quick packing for the trip... oh.. i went for a river rafting trip... another one of my 24+ hour no sleep all fun journeys...
i am going to write about the entire trip once i get the fotos... but what makes this one different are the following :
~ i was in a cab and not driving or in a bus...
~ first time i rafted from Marine Drive... the max so far... 27 kms...
~ first time i tried to make a sand castle... and it kept getting washed off...
~ first time i reached a situation, where it could have turned fatal... Thank God it did not... no no.. not on the road... in the middle of the river...
~ first time i saw a movie in a cab...
~ first time i was not handling the expenses myself... though it leaves a li'il discomfort behind coz i like to have total control...
~ first time i slept while sitting next to the driver ( i do not like it.. but i had not slept for over 40 hours....i really needed it)

came back monday very very early morning.. around 0030 hours.. slept for 6 hours.. and am back in the office...

waiting for the fotos to come...

burfi jaldi bhej foto...

i am also realising that i am getting to be more of a loner now... i enjoy my company more then anything else.. or being with anyone else... is this just a phase.. or this is going to stay... dunno.. time will tell...

wHaT iF !!!

what if...

ravana was there inside us.. and we had 10 heads... just trying to think out loud about the problems that we could have faced because of this awkward situation...

  • extra money spent on cold creams, lip balms, lotions, hair creams, shampoo, soap, caps, shaving foam, bleach, make-up etc etc etc..
  • going to a restaurant, we would not know which head to use and when...
  • for a gal who has a boyfriend with ten heads, it would be so damn tough to figure out which one to kiss ;) and what if all of them start kissing her at the same time.. what a mess.. ditto for a guy with a girlfriend with 10 heads...
  • for a guy who has a wife with 10 heads, phew... can't even think of the time when all of them start speaking at the same time... ditto for a gal who has a husband with 10 heads..
  • it would be really costly to attend a show, or a concert, coz the charges usually are some hundred bucks per head...
  • if girls take so long to get ready with one head... imagine how much time they will need with 10...

cannot really think of more right now... just enjoying thinking abot things that could have happened... hehehe...

hey.. there are few good things as well !!!

  • you might just win all the debates....
  • it would have been so damn easy to look into other's papers during an exam...
  • BPO industry would have been the happiest, one person.. and he could take 10 calls at one point of time...

bas.... aur nahin...

oN a HiGhWaY !!!

i was driving at a comfortable 80 kmph.. when i had screeeeech to a halt on the Meerut Bypass yesterday night..

why... well because i had a cart in front of me which obviously had no reflectors...

and why did i not see it... because the high beams of the vehicles coming from the other side of that two lane, without a divider highway had almost taken away from sight...

here are a few things that i would request you guys to take care of whenever you are on a highway enjoying your drive...

1) do not rush... drive in a speed zone where you know your reflexes would not ditch you...

2) do not get into a road rage.. if someone overtakes you like a maniac.. or someone does not give you enough space to overtake.. do not get angry.. just slow down.. cool down.. and then get ahead....

3) make sure there is nothing kept on the hand-brake lever... we tend to keep water bottles or something there usually.. make sure that the gear lever and the hand-brake lever is free of any obstructions..

4) make sure that all your lights.. head-lights as well as the rear lights are working just fine...

5) use a dipper more then your horn... and do not honk without a reason...

6) Make sure that you have enough reflectors on the back side of your car... even if the rear lights do not function... your vehicle is visible in the night....

7) If you have you stop.. make sure that your car is not on the road...

8) Always wear a seat belt.. and make sure that the rest of the ppl ( even in the rear seat, if possible) wear seat belts....

9) Use the highbeam only when you do not have traffic in front of you, and make sure that you use low beam in case there is traffic coming from the front...

10) IF you are driving on a highway for the first time, try to follow a vehicle at a comfortable distance, so that you know of any problems on the road, like potholes, etc well in time...

i guess.. enough gyan for the day...

Drive safe...

Drive happy !!!

Enjoy :)

i M a TeEnAgEr !!!

I am 19...
I am in one of the best colleges in Delhi...
I used to be a favorite student in school...
I used to be the centre of attention in school... and got a lot of rewards and accolades for my school...
and because i worked hard.. i got good marks and then got selected in a great college !!!
today... i study in a great college...
but i do not have any identity...

did i loose it because there are so many good students around me?
did i leave it behind coz i lost the energy i used to have with me?

and now i think.. is this really what i wanted to do...
and is this where i want my life to take me...

i am young...
i have a lot of tough decisions to make...
some of them look impossible as of now...

but then... i cannot continue thinking on them for the rest of my life...
i have to take a call...

do i go by what the world thinks is appropriate.... and everyone else does....

or do i get into something that excites me...
something that brings a twinkle in my eyes.. when i think of the results of my hard work...

something that brings me closer to my dreams...

what should i do?

TeArS iN mY EyEs !!!

how many times has this happened with you that you have felt like cryiing.. because of overwhelming emotions in your heart..

i was watching this program on Zee TV... Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challange 2005.. and the competetors there.. were A W E S O M E !!! they were so bloddy good with their singing.. that i found my heart heavy after the performances... God bless them all.. they are diamonds.. and the sparkle comes from their singing...

There are four mentors in this program... and they have their own groups.. and these mentors happen to be some of the most successful music directors in India.. they have their groups.. also called Gharanas.. and have names like Jai Ho, Yalgaar, Dum, and Lets Rock...
every week their students.. compete in a few rounds.. and some well known faces from the Indian Music Industry judge them and decide they have to move ahead in the show.. or go back home..

I was just watching the show.. and i could imagine how hard it was for them to choose amongst the ppl who were singing... they were brilliant... just super...

i sincerely do not have words to describe how well these guys were singing..

and then i could not resist comparing this program to another program Fame Gurukul on Sony Entertainment TV. what piece of shit that is... looks like everything is staged.. and when i compared the singers... it was like comparing the diamonds with some stones ( read no-comparison )

anyway.. i think i will watch the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa more closely now...

and then i remember another small incident when i had tears in my eyes.. and what happened then was something totally different.. i just laughed my heart out.. and water was coming out of my eyes...

hua yoon.. ke me and a friend were sitting in the Tea Shop.. in sector-37... and a small chuhiya came from under the shelf.. at full speed.. and this friend of mine... moved because she saw that mouse... and the mouse must have screamed on the top of her voice... and then she applied her brakes.. and then almost skid ..and then turned around... and ran in the opposite direction with phull speed... i know this does not sound as funny as it really was when it happened.. but trust me... i could feel what that small mouse must have felt... hehehhe... two giants in the front.. and she too late to realise it... hahahaha...

we just kept on laughing.. and laughing... till the time our stomach did not start hurting..

and ending the post on a nice note... one of my friends wrote two lines on the chat today... and i managed to ( i guess ) complete it...

abhi koi dil mein jashn hua hai
khamoshi khamosh hai

"khamoshi hai...
sukun hai...
tumhe aur mujhe dono ko maloom hai...
ke dosti ka saath... saath rahega...
aur saath uthaya har kadam yaad rahega"

no TiMe fOr HiMsELf !!!

He gets up early in the morning... gets ready and rushes for the office to avoid the rush hour traffic... works in the office.. and leaves late to avoid the traffic again..

comes back home, eats dinner or checks his email or watches TV... and then sleeps.. and occasional phone calls from friends as well...

day after day.. week after week... this is what he does...

and now he is thinking.. is that what he wants to do?

is there anytime that he gives for himself everyday?

is he getting away from himself?

is he caught up in rest of the world so much that he might need to just rediscover himself?

umm !!!

attention and affection are like medicines to me... the right amount helps me live.. and an over dose can be killing !!!!

SaLaAm NaMaStE !!!!

ok... enough is enough... Saif Ali Khan has done this twice to the lovely Priety Zinta.. and i hate it... its been twice that he has made her pregnent before he got married to her...

first time in Kya Kehna... and now in Salaam Namaste... i am wondering if the second is the answer to the first.. someone asking Kya Kehna.. and somebody replying Salaam Namaste !!!!

but then all is well that ends well... and i guess in both the movies.. She gets to deliver the baby and then they live happily ever after ( what a fairy tale-ish end to something that is very close to life)

ok... on serious note... ( no pun intended.. and no sarcasm involved).... i think the movie was very nicely put together.. i am not a very big fan of romantic movies.. but then this one had some romance involved with some fun too... and i have enjoyed watching Saif in a lot of his recent movies... Dil Chahta hai... Love ke liye Kuch Bhi karega... Parineeta... etc etc...

a live in relationship... a near perfect way to practise the saying.. look before you leap... something like "having a 30 day demo of the product you are interested in"... and if you do not like it... poore paise wapas... how cewl is that... does that work with humans.. the way it works with products... i guess not... at least here in this society where i am living... and do i want to be with someone i like for 30 days and then hearing.. sorry dude.. i like u but you are just not good enough... na... i do not want to hear this ever...

can i say that to someone... suprisingly.. i know i can say that to someone.... i guess something is missing inside me.. is that the lack of emotions or consideration of the other persons' feelings.. well.. uh... i dunno... and this post is not even meant to discover what is missing inside me..

back to the movie...

nice package. i enjoyed the movie... saw it on a home video... saved a lot of money... used that to order lots of fresh juice... which i loved having during the movie...

i liked the part where nick is ready to wake up early so that (H)amber get a good breakfast....
i liked it when (H)amber sleeps late so that she could meet up with Nick...
i liked it when he came and asked for the the TV cable so that he could watch the cookery show.. and promised to keep the volume low..
i liked it when she kept on asking for some dark choclate.. and he drove around the town to find it... ( why the hell did they sing a song there?.. well.. can we leave the typical hindi movie element out? no i guess not... )

i was not really comfortable watching the last 10 minute slapstick comedy done by three wonderfully gifted actors... what was that needed for.. the movie was itself very comic itself...

somehow i knew there would be a slight mis-understanding when saif wants to get things taken care of...
somehow i know that she would leave before he could tell her everything...

ok.. well.. no more comments on the movie... it was a good movie.. and i liked watching it... if you did not.. then probably you might like to just tell me that you did not.. and that is where the conversation about the movie will end !!!!

about my weekend so far...

yesterday evening started on a not so good note.. when i had to like stand in line and wait for two passes on the IITd Annual Fest... to hear one of my favorite bands Indian Ocean... and then when i finally manage to get in... i realise that i had to sit on the third row from the front in the extreme left.. which meant that i could hear only the left side speakers.. and that too a li'il too loudly.. but then it was fine.. was listing to indian ocean.. i had been trying to get to a live performance of this band for a long time and today was the day....

to my complete surprise...
indian ocean packed up after singing 4 A W E S O M E songs..
starting with Arre Ruk ja Re Bande from the OST of Black Friday.. and then moving on to Hille Re, Ma Rewa and finally Kandisa... what awesome vocals combined with some extremely good fusion of instruments... love you Indian Ocean.. keep the music flowing like this only...

while i was hoping for something better to happen.. now that the Indian Ocean thingie was over in a li'il less then an hour... lightning struck.. and on the stage was a band called the tantriks... they were refered to as a Dance Band in their introduction.. and i could not figure out what that meant... untill i heard the song... O Humdum Suniyo Re.. crying for help... crying for justice.. crying for some mercy.. from this talented yet... stupid bunch of Assholes... the vocalist was good... and i know if he tries... he can do much much better then wht i heard yesterday...
the drums, the base guitar... were definitely good...

but the vocals... OH MY G O D.... i could actually throw something at them to make them shut the fcuk up!!! but then i was sitting there... still in a state of shock.. and they kept molesting the songs.. one after the other... dhoom.... koi kahe kehta rahe... some popular number from Zeher which i cannot remember right now... phew... it got too much at this point.. and i had to get up and get out of there...

my releif came from the Great Indian Laughter Champions... with Naveen Prabhakar saying.. "Pechchan Kaun" ... some program that was.. thank you STAR ONE for this... u start the weekends on a great note with such an awesome program !!!!

Saturday morning... first weekend after a long long drive... and guess what..

i had a date...
met her.. talked to her a lot.. also let some silence do a lot of talking.. and i had a wonderful time... looking forward to meeting her again.. lets see how soon !!!!

late evening.. saw the movie... the movie finished... and then i got up to sleep.. and then dunno for some reason i just woke up... and switched on the computer.. and finished writing what i thought i will just write...

ok so thats it... i have not really read what i have written... but the scroll bar on the right tells me.. its kinda long.. but then neva mind... if you are reading this line.. you might have read the entire post already.. so no point apologising for wasting your time :)

hope you have a wonderful sunday !!!! Good night..
may God be with us !!!
