BrEaThE...

Its a nice feeling when someone talks to you... and when you can make them feel comfortable by choosing the right words to talk to them... happened with me today... hope it happens more often...

Prashant:
How have you been doing?

Friend:
Hmm okish
And u

Prashant:
I a li'il better then okish :)

Friend:
Aha.....i hope some of the optimism rubs on to me

Prashant:
Hmm...
Hope so too
Optimism is easy
You just have to ignore the negative thought...

Friend:
Hmmm
But when ur swimming in the midst on -ve thoughts
ok i am really pissed off

Prashant:
when you are swimming in water, you still need air na

Friend:
I wouldn’t mind chopping off a few heads

Prashant:
so even after being totally wet and almost drowning, you try to come up to the surface and breathe
and once you can do that breathing again, you are comfortable in water as well...

Friend:
:)
ok

Prashant:
Breathing at ease and swimming at will...

i... tHaNk... i... ThiNk...

Someone makes you laugh your ass out !!!

does that mean that the person has a great sense of humor? probably yes...

but then the person who is laughing is more important then the person in question actually... if "you" do not appreciate that humor, if the words coming out this guys mouth do not trickle "your" funny bone, this guy is nothing...

I can say this with confidence because I have been complimented and accused of having a certain sense of humor by my friends, or people I know or talk to... the same lines make a few friends laugh and they are kind enough to talk about how i bring smiles into their life, and at the same time, with the same damn lines, i can manage to piss off a certain set of people... not that I try to bring humor at the cost of someone !!! but this is a sincere observation...
i love to make people i care of smile, and at times i manage to do that just fine too... and i also have people who will not just understand what i am talking about... so its a funny mix...

so before i write further... let me thank everyone who manages to find me funny and live with my sense of humor :)

and that brings me to the philosophical angle of this post as well... more often then not we blame/credit someone else for the good or bad that happens to us... and example was the people who find me funny complimenting me for having a great sense of humor and another example is of people who blame others for things that are happening in their life professionally or personally.

I mean what is maturity all about? understand what you want and doing things that you feel is right... and when the result is something that you did not expect, you conveniently put the blame on someone else... and get out of the picture... i see this happening all the time in my office... and have seen loads of incidents similar in nature personally too...

Like i wrote in one of my previous posts as well, only I am absolute, and everything else is relative... I choose if what happens around hurts me, makes me feel good, bad, angry, frustrated, educated, left out, ignored, blamed, honored... most of it happens automatically, but only if i have chosen it that way sometime in the past...

I guess, i live the way i choose to...

do you?

Metal has always been very attractive to the human kind... the shine the luster, the use the attraction is very hard to ignore... and over the years we have moved on to be more specific about the metals that we like... Gold, Silver, and Platinum are the most sought after these days... with Gold being the conventional winner...

Starting from a time when gold and silver used to be purchased in the form of jewelery and was used more as an accessory, however these days, it has graduated from being just a piece of jewelery to an investment. One company that has been facilitating purchase of gold in America has been the Monex Deposit company. You can purchase either coins or ingots from the company and either arrange for a personal delivery, or a safe and convenience storage at an independent bank or repository. For over 30 years now, Monex has been leading the gold and precious metal investments, and that too at very convenient market and competitive precious metal prices.

This is in continuation with what I had written about the page popularity on my blogs sometime back. As I said, the blogs have come a long way from just being online diaries to a lot more.

Today you can expect and also get much much more then just a day to day routine life from a blog. I have managed to find more information about my line of Business, ITIL from blogs more then the websites. I managed to read more about the mobile technology from Tushar's blog then from the resources on the net. A blog today can serve as the ultimate source of information, and you also can showcase to the world about your subject matter knowledge as well through your blog.

Next comes the financial aspect of the same where the companies who want to get popular also resort to some advertising through blogs, both personal and professional.

Something like Google Ads, which we are familiar with in India... There are more sites of like Payperpost of similar nature that would help both the blog owner and an advertiser earn money together, creating an environment where everyone gains...

There is more happening on the internet then anyone of us know... I like it...

I am born today...

out of blood, out of pain, out of screams, and right now am in a place which looks new... I don't know what feeling is this... am i hungry? why can't i speak? i guess I can only cry... will that make these people around me understand that i am hungry... oh what the heck... lets give it a shot... maybe someone has been as small as me and would understand that I am hungry....

woh... why are they lifting me up and moving my entire body? HEY !!! let me down... i am only hungry not bored because I cannot move...

let me cry somemore... maybe they will understand now...

.
.
.

no they don't and they call themselves adults... thats what i heard !!!

but then hey... crying isn't helping either... let me just smile... may be that will help...

oh... it does... everyone around me suddenly seems happy...

phew... i am bored...

lets sleep for a while... in anycase there is not much to do when you are a new born baby...

Gift...

isn't that a word that usually would excite you immidiately, when you are going to get one that is :)

and when you have give someone, something... this word would usually start a chain of thoughts in your mind... Here is a simple solution if you are thinking of buying something related to optics...

All you need to do is go to this site called the Optics Planet.

Choose the category that you want to browse, and then check out the loads of options made available to you by the site... You can browse through binoculars, telescopes, microscopes, sunglasses, magnifiers, printers, scanners and what not... I think i can spend a whole day writing about the categories and what all do you get in those categories...

Oh and for people who might be looking for gifts for me... I would not really mind getting a pair of binoculars and a telescope :)

thanks in advance :)

GeT LiNkEd MoRe...GeT PoPuLaR...

Internet used to be a dream at one point of time... the time when dial ups used to be the only medium... costly, not feasible slow connections ensuring that you could check out email only once a week... having a website of your own was another dream....

But then in the last few years, things have changed... more and more people started having websites... the number of pages on the internet has only been increasing exponentially... and next came blogs, what started off with being mere online diaries todays has translated into so much more then just a medium to communicate for a lot of people...

What makes a lot of difference in a serious blogger's or a web site's life is the link popularity. Google is THE website that has set standard in link popularity, and page ranking... There are some complex algorithms that calculates the page rank of a page or a website... Some of the terms that are of importance while you are trying to read more about link popularity and page rank mechanisms are... search engine optimization, link baiting, technorati, latent symantec indexing etc... There is much more to the internet then we all know today... explore and get surprised...

Automobiles, something that I have always been interested in... I used to read about the Amby and the Fiat... and then I used to read about whatever was happening in the world with the Autocar.... and then it stopped... Realising that the passion should not go away like this... I thought of reviving the interest and was just browsing the net to search for something that caught my interest in one of the TV Ads... The Zero Petrol Go Bikes...

Looks this is already a craze in the USA... i reached this site for Electric Scooters.... And its pretty interesting too... There are scooters starting for as low as $300 to about $700... all of them look pretty neat to me... The website also has a free shipping... It goes a step forward with mentioning about the Scooter Safety and Scooter and Bike laws... I am wondering how these scooters would look when they are running on the road... Low pollution levels, battery charged, silent and sleek... Check out the Razor Electric Scooters, Electric Bikes, Gas Scooters, Go Karts and more... The Go Karts are seriously exciting... i am already thinking about what call can I do with one of these... where all am I going... thinking of the dirt tracks :)

HaPPiNeSS iS....

happiness is a function of

the smile that you return when someone who does not know you smiles at you...
the number of times someone in a high beam lowers the beam when you are in front...
the grip of a child on your fingers...
the laughter of your friends...
the tears when you see your parents after a long time...
the number of times when you made love and enjoyed it too...
the number of times you were told that you are important...
the smell of your favorite bed sheet...
the caller tone of your girlfriend/boyfriends mobile...
the ring tone when your friends call...
the incoming call from your dearest friend who is in a different city now...
the burp after a fantastic dinner...
the shoulder of a friend...
the pan after a dinner...
the smile that comes to your face when you think of your date...
the excitement of exam results...
the daze after a nice drink...
staring on the roof after a nice tiring day...
a small phone bill because the phone company decided to give you a happy discount...
a hand written letter from someone who know...
a drive on a cold winter morning...
the number of scraps on Orkut...
the number of times a girl you do not know comes to your Orkut profile ( this was for guys only )...
a nice one liner sms in the morning...
a good parking space in the parking lot...
Friday night evenings and start of the weekend...
Rain when you really wanted it...
and it stopping, when you really wanted it to stop...
a candy with a touch of lemon or orange...
Wedding invite of your sister...
the air conditioned office on a bright hot summer afternoon...
the nice couch in the lobby...
no one in the line for your favorite movie's ticket...
a kiss from a friend...
someone remembering your name...
a good workout in the gym...
the rapids on the Ganges...
the top speed of your car...
the taste of the food you cook...
a nice haircut...
a shirt of your favorite color on a 90% discount...
a seat in the metro on a ride back home...
your favorite song on the fm the moment you switch it on...
an hour of making out...
a hug from your son...
your college crush in your office...

Happiness is...
air on the mountains...
Happiness is...
waves in the sea...
Happiness is...
walks on the beach...

Happiness is...

when you let me be me...

ShE iS sTiLL...

A lot of times she felt that it was her responsibility to keep everyone around her happy... She did try her level best to do that too.... but more often then not things only became worse.

She could only think of how she could improve things and only could further mess them up... Giving up was not an option either...

She could talk about what she wanted to do, how she wanted to do it and was clear about what she wanted the others to do as well... but then everytime she wanted to make things better, some one would react in a way which she had not expected...

Is that her problem? she thought... but on second thoughts, it looked like a problem which "like it or not" she was a part of...

she is still living that problem...

she is still letting the thoughts overpower her pain..

she is still trying very hard...

she is STILL....

Further Studies with Capella University

When we are studying, a lot of us wanted to get over with our books and get into an earning mode as soon as possible. At times, we do that too, while forgetting that education is equally important. Till the time we realise that we have missed out on some formal education, its too late.

Lately there has been a remarkable change in the way one can learn without leaving the jobs. And what has come a long way is eLearning. What started off from small knowledge related courses has now transformed the eLearning zone into a full fledged education provider. Right from under graduate courses to professional courses in computer sciences and IT or a MBA online. Everything can be done with some extra hard work and dedication.

One such universities is the Capella University. Much can be written about this accredited* university which was founded in 1993, offering bachelor programs in phsycology, business, information technology, education, human services etc. About 75 various graduate and undergraduate specializations are available. The university already serves over 16000 students from all over the US and other over 60 countries.

you might want to visit their website http://www.capella.edu/ for more information and browse for yourself.

*Capella University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, located at 30 N. LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, IL 60602-2504, (312) 263-0456, www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org.

(c) Time Management...

What differentiates between a really hectic work environment and a simple one is how one can manage the time they are spending in a day. When I started off, I had a simple life, thanks to the BPO life, where the time to login, logout, breaks and all is controlled... But when I think about the IT environment, time management is really a challange...

Effective time management is I guess a key to effective workmanship and professionalism. I reached this site which talks about time management while browsing through the net. Worth a read.
This time management page talks about various things, right from an ebook to some key skills, some handy healthy tips, best practices etc... Check it out in your free time and manage it effectively :)
